The Prophetic Significance of NYC Going Muslim

The election of a Democrat Socialist Muslim mayor in New York City—the same city struck by Islamist terrorists on 9/11—is more than political irony. It may be prophetic. For decades, America’s Middle East policies have steadily aligned with the very nations the Bible describes as rising against Israel in the last days. Daniel 12:4 warns of a time when “knowledge shall be increased,” and the sealed words of prophecy would unfold. As understanding deepens, many now see that the “revived Roman Empire” theory is not as clear as it once was. Not one European nation is listed among those who attack Israel in the “Day of the Lord.” Instead, the nations in prophecy—Assyria, Persia, Cush, Libya, and Gog’s coalition—are all Islamic.

Isaiah, Micah, and Hosea all reference “the Assyrian,” pointing to an Antichrist figure from the Middle East. Ezekiel 38 details a confederation led by Gog, including Persia (Iran), Libya, Ethiopia (Sudan) and modern Turkey’s Tubal, Gomer, Magog, Togarmah–all Islamic regions. Psalm 83 echoes: “They have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against You.” These verses describe a future coalition against Israel. From 1453 to 1922, the Ottoman Empire ruled over these lands until its fall under the Treaty of Lausanne, brokered partly through US influence. Today, Turkey’s Islamic nationalism is eerily like the prophetic positioning for a revived Caliphate, the possible “beast” empire of Revelation. America, once a restraining force against the spread of Islamic totalitarianism, has unfortunately fueled the trend.

Jimmy Carter’s policies helped birth Iran’s Ayatollahs. Bill Clinton sided with Muslims in Kosovo. By forcing premature Palestinian elections in 2006 and allowing Hamas to run without first disarming or recognizing Israel, George W. Bush handed Hamas electoral legitimacy and a launchpad to seize Gaza.” He also enshrined Islam into Iraq and Afghanistan’s constitutions. Barack Obama partnered with the Muslim Brotherhood to destabilize Libya, Egypt, and Syria, while boosting Turkey’s radical tilt. Under Joe Biden, the pattern continued—soft toward Iran, silent on persecution, and tolerant of antisemitic rhetoric in his own party. All this while claiming to support Israel. The contradiction isn’t accidental; it’s strategic, moving history toward prophetic fulfillment. Only Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump have stood the ground.

And now New York City, once a beacon of liberty, has embraced leadership openly aligned with socialist and Islamic ideologies. A million Muslims strong, NYC has gone from victim of jihad to a foothold for it. After toppling the Twin Towers, Islam claimed sacred space with a mosque near Ground Zero. They’ve played the long game. The election of a Muslim mayor signals more than demographics shifting; it may represent a nation losing its spiritual discernment. As America surrenders moral ground, it clears the way for a revived Ottoman beast system to rise. The clock of prophecy is ticking, and New York may have just sounded the alarm. As Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, Take heed that no man deceive you.” We are witnessing prophecy unfold before us.
