Once upon a time, Democrats claimed to stand for the little guy, for civil rights, and for open government. Now it seems like a fairy tale. We are witnessing a coordinated push to undermine the will of the people, secure permanent control, and repackage authoritarianism as “progress.” The Left’s power grab didn’t start in the last election cycle. It’s been decades in the making. Cultural institutions—media, universities, Hollywood—were infiltrated as indoctrination centers. Courts, regulatory agencies, and intelligence services were repurposed into political weapons. What couldn’t be won at the ballot box was re-engineered behind closed doors. President Trump is trying to reverse this true insurrection, but it’s stubborn.
The approach is to insulate their agenda from public rejection, to make ideology immune to accountability. In the new book Original Sin, Politico’s Alex Thompson and CNN’s Jake Tapper reveal that Biden’s own staff believed they were justified in doing “undemocratic things” to keep Donald Trump out of office. Thompson told Fox News Sunday on May 25 that unelected White House operatives—dubbed the “Politburo”—essentially ran the country while covering up President Biden’s cognitive decline. Let that sink in: a group of bureaucrats—unaccountable to the public—decided they knew better than the voters. They acted on it, even referring to themselves as the highest executive authority of the Soviet communist state. What does that tell you about the Democratic Party and the Biden Administration?
Even their own insiders recognize it. In an astonishing moment of honesty, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) admitted the Democratic Party is becoming a threat to democracy. He acknowledged that Democrats have, at times, bypassed primaries, manipulated electoral processes, and ignored voter sentiment in favor of party elites. He said it’s “fair” to say the party is behaving in ways that erode democratic trust. If even a self-described socialist is ringing alarm bells about his own party, you know the wheels are coming off. The Biden administration actually raced to enshrine its agenda by fast-tracking left-wing regulations and handing out billions to cronies during the last hours of the Administration. This is not the behavior of a party winning fair and square, but rather a political machine laying down cement before the public can rip up the pavement.
It’s called “democratic socialism,” and it always leads to one thing: centralized control, loss of freedom, and state-managed misery. The Left has redefined democracy as permanent rule by their ideology. Elections are tolerated only if they produce the desired outcome. Dissent is labeled as extremism. Free speech becomes hate speech. And any challenge to the regime—from Trump supporters to independent journalists—is treated as a threat. Psalm 118:8 says, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” When politics becomes idolatry, people will justify any abuse of power. But when we put our trust in God—not man-made systems—we see clearly. And when we see clearly, we act boldly. Speak truth. Reject the tyranny clothed in the language of freedom. These people are not freedom fighters, but warriors for oppression.
