Trump would end democracy. He would jail reporters. He would take revenge on his detractors. He would be a fascist dictator. If you vote for Trump you are racist. If you vote for Trump you are bigot. If you vote for Trump you are sexist. If you vote for Trump you are a homophobe. If you vote for Trump you are a fascist. If you so much as support Trump you are garbage. If Trump is elected, liberals would leave the country. Trump supporters should be executed. Trump voters should be banned from society. If you are Black and vote for Trump you are not Black. All these things the media, the Democratic Party leadership, communist celebrities repeated for more than eight years, especially in 2024. What of it?
Let’s start with former president Barack Obama. On October 10, Obama lashed out against Black men, saying, “You’re thinking about sitting out or supporting somebody (in former president Donald Trump) who has a history of denigrating you, because you think that’s a sign of strength, because that’s what being a man is? Putting women down? That’s not acceptable.” How about Joe Biden saying that “The only garbage I see floating out there is his [Trump’s] supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.” Interesting that Trump won a larger share of both Black and Latino voters than past Republican presidential candidates.
Then there were many celebrities and media claiming they would drink Draino, move to another country, or some such thing if Trump won. They were saying that a Trump victory would be the worst thing in America. Democracy would end. People would be jailed. Then on The View the morning after the election, Whoopi Goldberg et al were saying that they see people getting back to normal, going to work, living their lives. Nice try. How can you be so calm if you truly believed you were now under a fascist dictatorship and that Trump was going to put you in jail? Now, it’s just another normal day? ABC News analyst Sunny Hostin told The View on November 8, “What is wrong with this country that they would choose a message of xenophobia, racism, misogyny over a message of inclusiveness, a message for the people, by the people of the people.”
You can’t present an extreme agenda, tongue-lash everyone for not accepting it, and expect them to freely support it. James 3:8 calls the tongue “an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.” And that’s the way it is with these evildoers. Feckless Tim Walz, Harris’s Vice Presidential choice, in his post-election speech epitomized their arrogance: “It’s hard to understand why so many of our fellow citizens, people that we have fought so long and hard for, wound up choosing the other path.” Not so hard to understand for the vast majority of Americans, Tim. Your vision is communism and your path is demonizing everyone that doesn’t agree with you and fearmongering, gaslighting, and vote shaming the rest. This is no less than, say it with me…Stupidocrisy.
