Congressman Maxwell Frost (D-FL) accused President Trump of trying to “ethnically cleanse” America of certain types of immigrants. That’s a strong claim that’s more like a political slogan than a fact. So, who is being arrested and deported under Trump’s renewed immigration policies? According to both Department of Homeland Security data and Trump’s own words, the answer is violent criminals: gang members, drug traffickers, and sexual predators. Trump told supporters in June he’s going after “the worst of the worst.” ICE’s official press statements echo this—targeting violent offenders not the innocent. Yet, to Democrat officeholders and their media sock puppets every illegal immigrant is innocent.
That’s why when the numbers come in, a more complicated story emerges—one Congressman Frost probably won’t mention in his next soundbite. Immigration data from the media paints a broader—and at times contradictory—picture. AP and CBS analysis from June shows about 72% of current ICE detainees have no criminal conviction. That’s over 27,000 people. Of the rest, many have minor violations—expired visas, unauthorized entry, or low-level traffic offenses. Fewer than 10% are convicted of serious violent crimes. That’s how the media figures it. ICE’s own reports cite 6,800 sexual assaults, 478 homicide charges, and several hundred gang arrests. Yes, those are serious. But media reports say the overwhelming majority don’t fit the “murderer-rapist” profile. The goal posts move often. What is the definition of “illegal?”
DHS points to ongoing efforts like Operation Nightwatch, which rounded up hundreds of gang members in cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston. They also cite deportations involving forced child labor and human trafficking rings. Yes, there have been workplace raids and community sweeps where non-violent undocumented immigrants are detained. But that doesn’t mean they are here legally. A person here illegally has already broken the law. To excuse being here illegally and using language that conjures up images of genocide is an extreme characterization. Arresting lawbreakers is not “ethnic cleansing.” But the dog-whistling continues. And there are people in the street getting violent over their belief in Frost’s religion of deception.
Frost’s accusation that Trump is “ethnically cleansing” the country is both reckless and ignorant. He ignores the plain fact that violent criminals are being targeted and removed as a priority. Yes, others who’ve missed court dates or violated immigration law get swept up too—but that’s the nature of law enforcement. Frost and his party pretend every illegal immigrant is a harmless, misunderstood law-abiding neighbor. That’s fantasy, not policy. And the real danger? Ignorant people believe it. Some will violently act on it. Proverbs 14:16 says, A wise man fears and departs from evil: but the fool rages and is confident.” People like Frost have little foundation on truth, but rely on emotional manipulation and political race-baiting. They practice deceit, lies, and, say it with me, Stupidocrisy.
