Dear Hollywood and those influenced by you: You’re all out there clutching your pearls, huddled at rallies, declaring ICE is chasing down innocent families. Kim Kardashian, Mark Ruffalo, Finneas, Doechii—you sound like a choir of sanctimonious slackers. Let’s call it what it is: Hollywood virtue-signaling, drenched in ignorance—and you’re looking clueless. Take Kim Kardashian, the queen of curated empathy. She chimes in: “[ICE exists] to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals—great. But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up.” That sounds nice… but like the roles you play, it’s not reality.
ICE is targeting illegal immigrants who’ve committed violent crimes—rape, robbery, murder. That’s not “ripping families apart.” That’s removing threats from communities. Mark Ruffalo calls ICE “beige brigades roaming like packs of coyotes…just as racist.” Finneas says he was “tear-gassed almost immediately” at a peaceful protest. Really. You skipped bail on nuance if you’re comparing law enforcement with racist mobs. And Doechii, performing outrage at the BET Awards: “ruthless attacks…Trump is using military forces to stop a protest.” Who told you these folks were just garden-variety refugees? Then there’s Katy Perry, tweeting that immigration enforcement is “heartless and anti-American,” calling for the abolition of ICE altogether.
Katy, stick to California Gurls. Because what’s truly heartless is ignoring the real victims—families who’ve suffered at the hands of violent criminals that ICE is actively removing. You don’t fix the system by dismantling the one piece actually doing its job. ICE’s Fugitive Operations teams are focused on illegal immigrants with criminal records. You know—people with warrants, gang ties, prior deportations, or convictions for aggravated felonies. If you don’t think rape or armed robbery qualifies as deportable behavior, you’ve lost the plot entirely. Here’s the thing: If you glamorize lawbreakers and call ICE “inhumane” for going after them, you’re endorsing the idea that breaking the law is noble.
Can anyone say “Hypocrites AND Anarchists?” If every day Americans obey the law and immigrants enter legally, what message are you sending by defending those who jump the line AND commit violent crimes? ICE is not hunting families—it’s targeting criminals. ICE is enforcing laws already on the books. If you’re defending lawbreakers while condemning law enforcement, you’re undermining justice. And that goes for all those who join with the Hollywood dogma. Next time you tweet about “families torn apart,” add context: some of those “families” include individuals who’ve committed heinous crimes. As Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.” Stop acting like standing up for lawbreakers is moral high ground. It’s, say it with me…Stupidocrisy.
