One of the most absurd claims about bodily autonomy recently came from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), in an appearance on MSNBC’s February 23 edition of “Alex Wagner Tonight.” Having to string together what she said to make sense of it, Ocasio-Cortez was saying that Republicans want to ban abortion because they want to control “recreational sex” and create a “patriarchal theocracy.” She claimed that Republicans, as evidenced by the Supreme Court overturning Roe v Wade and sending it back to the individual states, want to ban contraception, “explicitly” control women’s bodies and recreational sex. In doing so, she said Republicans want to establish a patriarchal theocracy. What?
Ocasio-Cortez said, “And going beyond that, they also want to control what they call recreational sex. Recreational sex! This is so clearly a patriarchal theocracy that has embodied itself in the DNA of an entire political party in the United States of America. And as women, and as any nonbinary and queer person in this country, they must be defeated. There should never be room for this kind of control by force over another person’s body in this country… Republicans are taking women’s bodies by force, and we cannot let them do. It has to come to an end.” In other words, it’s Republicans that want to control our sex lives and establish a male-dominated sexual religion and take women’s bodies by force. I guess what she means is that Republicans have a religion of rape. That a US Representative would think such is nothing less than insane.
If we remember right, it is Ocasio-Cortez and her ilk that want to force global acceptance as normal perverse sexual acts such as homosexuality, transsexuality, transgenderism, and who knows what else. Their religion, or “theocracy” is accept these perversions or be shunned, censored, labeled, jailed or designated as a terrorist (recall Loudoun County, VA parents who dared stand up to unisex bathrooms where girls were raped by a boy posing as a women). Sexual anarchy is their religion. And they make no bones about ridiculing Holy Scripture that speaks against the immoral acts these people worship. What Ocasio-Cortez is implying that removing abortion as a birth control method is akin to Republicans forcing women to have some sort of morals regarding sex. What about the life of the unborn?
Ocasio-Cortez is saying that Republicans in particular should have no say over a woman’s body. But she was also part of the crowd that wanted forced lockdowns and vaccinations during COVID, which was the pharmaceutical theocracy that tried to take all of our bodies by force. How is it a violation of bodily autonomy by preventing taking the life of the unborn and it’s not a violation of bodily autonomy being forced to take an experimental drug that doesn’t work? Jeremiah 51:7 gives an end time warning: “Babylon was a gold cup in the hand of the LORD, making the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore the nations have gone mad.” We are to flee from such. People like Ocasio-Ortez are drunk on the wine of passion for immorality, and are insane with such. It is a sad state of mind leading many into, say it with me…Stupidocrisy.
