In 1955, Roy Hall and Dave “Curly” Williams wrote a song when they were fishing on Lake Okeechobee in Florida. Big Maybelle first recorded it in March 1955 on an arrangement by Quincy Jones. Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley and Levi Kreis also recorded versions of the song “A whole lot of shakin going on.” The radically-altered Lewis version of the song was considered quite risqué at the time with its boogie piano and spirited drumming. So much so that when Sun released the Lewis single, it reached Number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 1957 and Number 1 on the R & B and country charts. Accompanied by body gyrations never done before, Lewis and his rock and roll version ushered in a new genre.

Biden and his wife were caught carrying their masks in and out of a Washington DC restaurant, violating the DC mask mandate.
But press secretary Jenn Psaki brushed it off. She said, “…there are moments when we all don’t put masks back on as quickly as we should…our objective here is to get more people vaccinated, make sure that that schools and companies around the country can put in place requirements to save more lives and keep people safer and not overly focus on moments in time that don’t reflect overarching policy.” Maybe she misstated and really meant “overreaching” policy. Food and gas prices skyrocketing, China threatening, civil rights being violated with COVID mandates, no border security and more. Ecclesiastes 10:1 says, “Dead flies putrefy the perfumer’s ointment, And cause it to give off a foul odor; So does a little folly to one respected for wisdom and honor.” Such goes America under Biden.
