Kill and confront the extremist movement

One thing for certain: Anything a liberal politician accuses others of being or doing, that politician is judging from the content of his or her own heart. In the race for US Senate in Ohio, Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan is taking on Republican upstart J.D. Vance. On September 13, Ryan told MSNBC’s Morning Joe, “We’ve got to kill and confront that movement, but working with normal mainstream Republicans, that’s going to be really, really important. I’m saying exhausted majority, Democrats, Republicans, Independents against the extremists, leading an era of reform around reconciliation so we can heal this country and move into the future.” Apparently, Ryan wants to kill and confront those who resist his ideas of reform.

In Monday’s debate with Vance, Ryan once again labeled the Republican movement “extremists” and included Vance in his “kill and confront.” When asked about his September comments and if he wanted to clarify them, Ryan responded, “Kill and confront the extremist movement of which J.D. Vance, unfortunately, is a part of.” This type of rhetoric is a prelude to hate speech and it is exactly the type of rhetoric that fascists and communists use to single out opposition and turn masses against those who disagree or dissent. Ryan has labeled all who disagree with the Democratic Party positions as extremists and that this movement to dissent should be killed and confronted. Who says that kind of thing? Who signals this type of action?

Ryan listed among those who are part of the movement that should be killed and confronted as those who believe the election was stolen; those who believe government’s inaction on border security is related to intentionally spreading fentanyl overdoses; and those who are pro-life. Ryan says, “This is a dangerous group, and we do need to confront it,” once again labeling those beliefs as “extreme.” Given the rhetoric of the Democratic Party of late, anyone who disagrees with the approach to border security, the “green” agenda, government-induced inflation and recession, arming administrative agencies like the IRS, the findings that there were many election irregularities, the forcing of sexualization and the gay and transgender agenda by public schools on children, and abortion on demand, is an extremist. Think about that.

If a conservative were to use “kill and confront” rhetoric against what is the true extreme fascist and communist agenda that has permeated the Democratic Party, that person would be both personally and professionally maligned by those supporting the Democratic Party. Those who have traditional Judeo-Christian values and morals are labeled extremists by the Democratic Party. Even Democrats should be questioning the rhetoric of the true extremists. Christ said in Matthew 15:18-19, “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” Kill and confront is rhetoric of evil. Take note of who uses such words, and compare them to those in history who did the same. Therein is truth.
