President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has shocked Americans by uncovering billions upon billions of dollars in government waste and corruption. For those who have to suspend their disbelief to understand how Democratic politicians and bureaucrats enrich themselves and advance their Marxist agenda, this Daily Jot will serve as a tutorial. The example is USAID. The source is Max Primorac, former USAID CEO and chief assistant to the Acting Deputy Director during the first Trump term as discussed in the February 20 edition of The Signal Sitdown podcast. Now, as a Heritage Foundation research fellow, Primorac has applied his USAID experience with research to follow the money.
Primorac said, “we started looking at all political donations from the state department we looked at them for us Aid and what did we find for State Department was like 94% went to the left at USAID it was like 98% that went to the left. National Endowment for Democracy like 95% to the left. Then we started looking at all of the of the partners…where the billions and billions are going, and 95-98%–even World Vision, Catholic relief services–the vast majority well over 90% of their political donations were going to the left. You look at the boards they’re all prominent people making very high salaries. When you think about what’s happened the left which was misusing USAID and they’re doing this across the federal uh uh federal government misusing taxpayer money as a slush fund to finance their own people.”
Primorac continued, “You know these are folks that can go out there do the media be the foot soldiers of the left give money back, and so you had a one-sided uni-party apparatus here funding only one side of the political equation and thank you US taxpayer…taxpayer money goes in. It is appropriated to an organization or an agency like USAID. That money goes out to some nonprofit which takes out another chunk–so 50% overhead at USAID. Then more overhead at the nonprofit where those funds are appropriated. Then that money makes its way back into the political system into the coffers of Democratic campaigns to ensure the perpetuation of this feedback loop where people get a six figure salaries. You know what that’s called? Corruption. It’s called corruption. It’s a patronage system.”
From Clinton through to Obama and Biden, they used executive orders to redirect USAID money to climate control, abortion, LBGTQ+++, etc., which went to fund leftist and Marxist “non-profits,” pay six figure salaries to their supporters, and enrich themselves through consultant, advisory or Board positions. This is just one agency. Think of how these politicians go into office upper middle class and come out multi-millionaires. This is how it happens and how they buy favor for their Marxist political agenda at your and my expense. Isaiah 1:23 sums it up: “Your rulers are rebels, friends of thieves. They all love bribes and chasing after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, and the plea of the widow never comes before them.” Their mission statements ought to have a disclaimer: “We help our stated cause if there is any money left over.”
