In recent years, the presence of Muslim-Americans in federal office has quietly grown. There are currently four Muslim members of Congress, all Democrats, all extreme and radical—Ilhan Omar (MN), Rashida Tlaib (MI), André Carson (IN), and Lateefah Simon (CA). While this seems like a small number, it marks a significant shift in representation for a community that has been rapidly growing since the “all things Islam” days of Obama. It calls the question: Is this simply a reflection of diversity, or a quiet advance of ideology? The Muslim Brotherhood’s own documents describe a deliberate long-term strategy, using education, politics, and the courts, to transform Western societies from within in a “civilization jihad.”
At the local level, that strategy appears to be bearing fruit. Muslim-Americans are increasingly being elected to mayoral offices across the nation. Amer Ghalib became mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan, in 2021, and Zohran Mamdani—an unapologetic Socialist and Muslim—was just elected mayor of New York City. In his victory speech, Mamdani boasted that over a million Muslims live in New York City. Think about that. The same city that endured the horror of 9/11 at the hands of Islamist terrorists now has a Socialist Muslim mayor that supports the terrorist group Hamas and is leading more than a million fellow Muslims. What once seemed impossible is now reality, wrapped in the language of “representation” and “inclusion.”
It was September 2007 when The Daily Jot first reported that the Muslim Brotherhood had a written plan to colonize America through a “Civilization-Jihadist Process.” That plan, introduced as evidence during the 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial, outlined how Islamists would establish a beachhead through “moderate” Muslim organizations, Islamic Centers, schools, court cases, and eventually elected officials. The document plainly called this effort “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.” By 2011, Brotherhood-linked candidates and donors had already made inroads within the Obama administration and among several Democrats in Congress. Those connections have only deepened since. The reality is unsettling.
A generation ago, New York City was attacked by Islamist terrorists; today, that same city elected an avowed terrorist (Hamas) supporting Socialist Muslim mayor. The trajectory is not coincidence—it is consequence. When a nation replaces moral discernment with political correctness, it opens the door to ideologies hostile to liberty. America’s challenge is not diversity; it is naivety. The Muslim Brotherhood’s plan is not fiction. It is unfolding before our eyes through culture, politics, and the ballot box. Jeremiah 51:14 warns what happens when nations turn from truth: “Surely, I will fill you with men, as with locusts; and they shall lift up a shout against you.” The veracity of this prophecy is being played out today in America before our very eyes.
