He was in Medical Center Plano. Transferred to another hospital in the area, placed on a ventilator and died. My daughter passed in 2016 with cancer. This has left our twin grandsons at age 24 without their parents. We were not informed of his illness nor his passing until he had died so had no input. If only…”
FB writes: “There is something very seriously wrong with healthcare today. It used to be all efforts were used to help and save the lives of everyone including the elderly. I experienced this first hand with my husband. He was visiting in PA. Got sick. Came home ill…I took him to his primary Dr., but his regular doctor was not there. The doctor that saw him said “you have 3 options. Put him in hospice, take him home and do nothing or take him to the hospital and see if they are able to treat him.” How callous. I took him to the hospital. Long wait later, the ER doctor comes to me and says, “I don’t see a good outcome for him. He is 91 and this infection is very serious affecting his heart and lungs” Next thing he asks me is, “Do you have a Do Not Resuscitate Order. I was shocked.”
FB continues: “I would have thought he would have said “we will do our best.” I was angry and told him I will not sign a “do not resuscitate order” because I don’t want any paramedic or any doctor to make that decision. When the time comes his family and I will decide. If you have a loved one in the hospital, be there every moment you can to be their advocate. I am losing trust in the healthcare system. It was a long road back, but he recovered and is doing great. But if I didn’t keep an eagle’s eye on his care who knows? I requested a Home Health nurse to help me. She was wonderful!!!!!! We worked hard to keep him going till he fully recovered. Stay healthy. Try not to go to the hospital. You might not come home. Especially if you are elderly.” These are just two examples of many that come in with a steady stream.
Ronald Reagan once said, “One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine.” We are seeing it first-hand. This is a threat to every freedom you have because the government has installed the apparatus to oppress you. Let’s face it: socialist healthcare is performing exactly as those of us who opposed it said it would—it isn’t. Worse yet, it has established a prescription of fear as the cure for everything. No wonder the pharmaceutical companies agreed to support it—vaccines and pills are more common than common sense. Our wellbeing has been hijacked by government. Isaiah 53:5 speaking prophetically of Christ says, “by his stripes we are healed.” It is Christ that we should look to for our salvation, not the government.
