Stupidocrisy: BLM’s claims about Cuba

There is no limit to the propaganda and rewriting of history associated with Marxism. You need look no further than a July 14 statement by Black Lives Matter (BLM) blaming America for the plight of Cubans. The statement blatantly lies about history, supports violent Marxist revolutions, and misstates and twists the intent of the Cuban people who are seeking liberty from a tyrannical dictatorship. BLM’s statement strikes similar themes to that of the Communist Party USA a day earlier, which called for an end to the Cuban embargo, blamed the US for “strangulation” of the Cuban people, and claimed the Cuban protesters were “flooding the streets in support of the government and the revolution.” Really?

For the less enlightened, thousands took to the streets in Cuba on Sunday, July 11 to protest against human rights abuses, the tyrannical Marxist dictatorship, and the horrible economy. But let’s break down the Communist propaganda fomented by the darling of the US mainstream media and the Democratic leadership. BLM said it “condemns the US federal government’s inhumane treatment of Cubans, and urges it to immediately lift the economic embargo. This cruel and inhumane policy, instituted with the explicit intention of destabilizing the country and undermining Cubans’ right to choose their own government, is at the heart of Cuba’s current crisis. Since 1962 the United States has forced pain and suffering on the people of Cuba by cutting off food, medicine and supplies, costing the tiny island nation an estimated $130 billion.”

BLM is wrong about the embargo. Nearly every time the US has lifted embargos or has sent humanitarian aid to Marxist- or Islamic-controlled countries, it only enriches the dictatorship and expands violence. The people get nothing. BLM’s claim that the US is undermining Cubans’ right to choose their own government is also false. The Cuban protesters are seeking to choose a new government, a non-Marxist dictatorship.  BLM claims, “The people of Cuba are being punished by the US government because the country has maintained its commitment to sovereignty and self-determination. United States leaders have tried to crush this Revolution for decades.” Actually, the US has tried to liberate the Cuban people because they have had no right to choose their own sovereignty. See how BLM twists history? Can you say Critical Race Theory?

Here’s another propaganda twist: BLM said, “Cuba has historically demonstrated solidarity with oppressed peoples of African descent, from protecting Black revolutionaries like Assata Shakur through granting her asylum, to supporting Black liberation struggles in Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau and South Africa.” Oh boy—where to start. Yes, Cuba has supported revolutions in those nations to help establish Marxist dictatorships. And Assata Shakur—she is a Black Liberation Army (BLA) domestic terrorist given a life sentence for murdering a New Jersey State Trooper in 1973. BLA terrorist broke her out of prison in 1979. She fled to Cuba where Fidel Castro gave her asylum. BLM celebrates cop-killer Shakur as a “revolutionary.” But then again, the founders of BLM are self-admitted trained Marxists. Birds of a feather.

Inventory. When BLM talks about human rights and self-determination in Cuba, it just doesn’t meet the straight-face test. The Miami Herald reported on April 23, 2006 that Fidel Castro was responsible for 31,173 executions and prison deaths since he took power in 1959. He refused medical attention to those trying to escape the island by boat, resulting in an estimated 77,000 deaths. Sources say an exact number of deaths caused by Castro’s regime is unattainable, but some put the death toll over 1.5 million. BLM supports Marxist revolution here in America. It is using the guise of a truth—that Black lives matter—to do so. Psalm 52:2 describes BLM: “Thy tongue devises mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.” Believing BLM’s propaganda on Cuba is nothing short of—say it with me—Stupidocrisy.
