Couldn’t watch it

‘Couldn’t bring myself to watch the virtual Democratic National Party convention last night. ‘Won’t watch it again tonight. I knew already what it was about: negativity and insults. The former first lady takes the camera and repeats her same old hypocritical mantra from the last campaign: “Going high is the only thing that works. Because when we go low, when we use those same tactics of degrading and dehumanizing others, we just become part of the ugly noise that’s drowning out everything else.” Then she blistered the current president and Americans using examples we have seen from her own party’s actions. Does she think no one sees that she is claiming the high ground, but is dehumanizing others in the process?

Deadline.com pretty much summed up the evening: With a constant chorus decrying Donald Trump’s corruption and incompetence in this era of racial divide, the fatal coronavirus crisis, and consequential economic collapse, the Biden team put their focus grouped playbook into practice tonight… If there was one noticeably out of tune note tonight, it was from Biden himself. In a moment seemingly directed to Trump’s hardcore base, who will never vote for him anyway, the ex-Veep took a middle ground on police brutality and systemic racism that many of his own supporters and many Americans have abandoned in recent months.”

The one thing that stands out is how the democrats are attacking the President for the economy. Michele O said that the economy is in a shambles because of the poor handling of COVID 19. In reality, the President handled/is handling the COVID 19 crisis without the help of all those “smart” democrats that bring all the criticism, but absolutely no solutions. And every time the President wants to open up the country for business, it is democrat congressmen, governors, and mayors who fight any kind of reopening. My sources say that these democrats are intentionally trying to hold the economy down until after the election because they think Americans will vote Trump out of office if the economy is bad enough.

What I see in the Democratic Convention reports is just a continuation of the badmouthing that we have seen since before Trump took office. They just run people down and present no viable solutions. Sad that they cannot look at America, the challenges, and be professional about offering alternatives. A whole lot of negative rhetoric going on. This is their idea of taking the high road because those Republicans will take the low road. They accuse others of what they themselves do. As Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 1:9, “That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.”
